Letter from a potential French convert. Contents address the interface between Swedenborg’s writings and the beliefs of the New Jerusalem Church. It is evident that the author corresponded with other Believers at Lebanon and Hancock. The shakers had previously shipped him a number of books. There is much on Ann Lee, and the author’s defense of her and Shakerism, while he “taught … defending your doctrine before a great number of intelligent and pious persons.”
