Sarah Hyde Brown (1697-1797), known as "Widow Sarah Brown the elder," was the mother of Lydia, the second wife of Ichabod Robinson. [See Memoir, p. 51, footnote. E. R. wrapped these items in a piece of paper from Halle, but it is not his handwriting that gives the contents therein, but rather that of Edward Robinson of New Jersey.]
