- Abstract
- Grande Vista motor court built by the HoD (Dewhirst) around 1935-36. It became one of the biggest motor courts east of the Mississippi through the 1940s attracting many top flight performers from the professional traveling show circuits in America. As Judge Dewhirst renovated and re-faced the colony Park with SW American architecture so also is Grande Vista in that style using petrified wood from New Mexico throughout.
