Q 1835, Jan. 2 Letter to E. R. in Boston from Augustus E. Foot in Hudson, Ohio. Foot replies negatively to a suggestion set forth by E. R., namely that Humphrey "pay up at once" (i.e., secure a mortgage) for the purchase of the Twinsburg, Ohio land. The reason given by E. R. is that he is planning to "go abroad, to be absent for several years."
