L-3 1848, August 3 Letter to E. R. in New York from J.Y. Mason, Secretary of the Navy. Concerns a matter relating to the geography and navigation of the Dead Sea which is in charge of Lieut. Lynch. Alludes to criticism leveled at Mason for authorizing the actions taken by Lynch, which in turn related to Robinson's work.
