Inscriptions: Handwritten on back: Mess Hall and Recreational Building. Two story and attic, frame structure (formerly a church) with mess hall and kitchen on first floor, recreation room, washroom and toilet on the second floor. Refridgerator [sic] addition at the kitchen. Stone foundations, clapboarded walls, no basement. Gable roof with asphalt shingle roofing, 2 brick chimneys. Interior generally plastered on the 1st and 2nd floors. Sheet metal on walls of shower room. Sheathed wainscoting. Double floors of joist construction, oak flooring. Single floor in the attic. Cement floor in the wash room. Exterior and interior painted lead + oil. Prison Farm, Enfield, Ct.
