Inscriptions: Square photographs are mounted on a golden-yellow card. The photographs are large, clear, and have relatively good contrast. The card is in excellent condition. On the top back is written in ink, "Shaker Village, Canterbury N. H. Group of Shakers near Church. To the right and below that is the dealer identification AC/10/9/77, in pencil. At the opposite end of the back of the card, in pencil, is written the name "Sadie." It is quite faded. A little below and to the right of that is the dealer's price for the card. "Enfield, N. H. Sisters of the South Family" boarding a platform wagon (See The Shaker Image, 2nd. Ed., page [179]. The manuscript description of this card is incorrect. Although the picture is identified as Canterbury Shaker Village, it is a picture of Enfield, N. H. Shakers.
